Re: Problems with Radeon 9600 128M DDR
I've not had any real experience with SiS Chipset motherboards like what you have. But, one of the first things I'd do if I were having this problem is to go to the SiS Chipset downloads and select the correct Chipset Drivers for your particular motherboard. Install those and reboot the PC.
SiS - Welcom to Silicon Integrated Systems Corporation. If there's a newer BIOS for the motherboard, I'd be highly inclined to update the BIOS as well. Then, make sure you have the latest DirectX drivers installed. Download details: DirectX End-User Runtime Once you've done all the above, then, try to install the updated drivers for your particular video card again. If it still doesn't work, go into Device Manager and completely Uninstall the video card. There are likely 2 instances showing and you need to remove both. Reboot and let Windows redetect the video card and install the default Windows drivers for the video card. Do NOT cancel this installation. Reboot and try again to update the drivers. If it STILL doesn't work, do a Manual Installation from within Device Manager. You simply select to Update Driver and then select the driver you want to install. If you need further help, be sure to post back. Good luck! |
