Hello,
for 1 year i'm facing a problem with my AGP video board ATI Radeon 9600 128M DDR
The only driver i can install is the one that came on cd with the board any other drives gives me an error something like"Setup did not found a driver compatible with your hardware or your operating sistem"
99% of the games don't work with the driver from cd the only games i could play so far are starcraft Muonline and Heroes 3. the other moves in framez freeze or just restarts my pc

Amd Athlon 2500+ (clocked at 1.8 Mhz)
640Mb of Ram DDR1
Motherboard is M848A(V2.1) PC-CHIPS
Hard drive SEagate Barracuda 80 gmb
Os Windows xp Profesional SP2

i would be verry thankfull if someone can help me solve the problem

I've not had any real experience with SiS Chipset motherboards like what you have. But, one of the first things I'd do if I were having this problem is to go to the SiS Chipset downloads and select the correct Chipset Drivers for your particular motherboard. Install those and reboot the PC.

SiS - Welcom to Silicon Integrated Systems Corporation.

If there's a newer BIOS for the motherboard, I'd be highly inclined to update the BIOS as well.

Then, make sure you have the latest DirectX drivers installed.

Download details: DirectX End-User Runtime

Once you've done all the above, then, try to install the updated drivers for your particular video card again.

If it still doesn't work, go into Device Manager and completely Uninstall the video card. There are likely 2 instances showing and you need to remove both.

Reboot and let Windows redetect the video card and install the default Windows drivers for the video card. Do NOT cancel this installation.

Reboot and try again to update the drivers.

If it STILL doesn't work, do a Manual Installation from within Device Manager. You simply select to Update Driver and then select the driver you want to install.

If you need further help, be sure to post back.

Good luck!
