I've tried everything. I've done that Mobility radeon 9000 driver the mobility radeon 7500 (Microsoft corporation XXDM) modded drivers DNA-ATI Drivers OEM Drivers ati_mobility55 everything! And guess what I got all of them to work but I either get a blue screen while shutting down opening programs starting games applying stuff. I'm currently using omega drivers 3.(I forget).252 and they work the best. but when I run the installer it did everything but install the drivers. I tried to manual install with microsot update and it failed. so I used the mod tool to mod the modded driver files. launched setup again - blue screen. so I did the microsoft hardware update wizard thing afire I used the mobility modder and It worked. still get blue screens. All I need is a driver that is good and has no bluescreen errors in vista home premium. Ive gotten at least 50 blue screens in one day and in xp I had none. Don't suggest to switch back to xp cause I don't have cds .Any help is great!

Re: ATI MOBILITY RADEON 7500 (32mb) ON VISTA (Driver?)
First of all, I'm not aware of any Vista Drivers that support any Mobility ATI card older than the 96xx series. If there are any, I can't find them. Since your card is much, much older than the 96xx series, about the ONLY solution to stop the BSODs would be to revert to XP. [Yes, I read that you no longer have the CDs. But, unless someone else here can come up with a solution that will work under Vista for you, I'd say you're beating your head against a brick wall.]
Also, Omegadrivers are not made for Vista, either. He doesn't even make any drivers for Vista. At least not yet. So, what you're essentially doing is trying to install XP drivers under the Vista OS and that's what's producing the BSODs. I'd love to see someone come along and prove me wrong for your sake. But, I'm not holding my breath. EDIT and UPDATE: BTW, why are you posting questions in the XP/2K Driver forum when you're using VISTA? There's a totally separate forum for VISTA driver related questions and your inquiry should have been posted there. ADDITIONALLY, over two months ago you posted a question and got several replies ... which you never bothered to check out. If you had, you'd already know that Omegadrivers do NOT support VISTA. http://www.hardwareheaven.com/ati-grap...ml#post1170498

Re: ATI MOBILITY RADEON 7500 (32mb) ON VISTA (Driver?)
Have you tried changing, after booting in safe mode, the drivers to basic VGA drivers? It won't look good or run good, but it shouldn't crash. If it works it will only be a temp solution, you need to buy a copy of XP.
The laptop itself must be about 6 years old by now. It might be easier and only 50% more expensive to buy a new very cheap laptop than a new XP OS. It will be faster than your current laptop too.

Re: ATI MOBILITY RADEON 7500 (32mb) ON VISTA (Driver?)
there is zero support for that card... even a VGA mode driver will provide very little to no performance over having an unrecognized card.

Re: ATI MOBILITY RADEON 7500 (32mb) ON VISTA (Driver?)
Download The Vista Driver With OpenGl and all acceleration and no bluescreens here: www.mobilityradeon7500vistadriver.webs.com/
----------------------------------------------------------- Go to control panel > system > device manager > rigt click on your current display driver (defualt Standard VGA) and click update driver > browse my computer for driver software > then browse to the directory and click include subfolders it will search and install the driver. This driver supports Opengl direct 3D hardware acceleration. It supports aditional textures. These drivers are very close to omega drivers quaulity. And there is no Blescreens ever. NOTES: -Tested on a dell latitude c640 -The Catlyst Contol Center has been cut out to save space -The ATI control panel has been added instead,in the at control panel folder -This Driver Was Found on driver scanner 2009 -Enjoy ©2008 Friday November 28 2008 |

Re: ATI MOBILITY RADEON 7500 (32mb) ON VISTA (Driver?)
I was having persistent BSOD with Vista and an ATI Mobility Radeon until I made the following change:
Control Panel\System\Advanced System Settings, Advanced\Performance\Settings, Visual Effects\Adjust for Best Performance. If this works, you may try adding back visual effects to determine which setting[s] are problematic. I did not care to determine which setting resolved my problem, as my performance is greatly enhanced by not using any visual effects. |
