AGP 2600 XT problem on install
When I try to install the new 10.1 AGP drivers I get this response SEVERE "Setup did not find a driver compatiable with your current hardware or operating system."
Ive tried DRIVER SWEEPER in safe mode/rebooting, Uninstalling each file etcetc. Ive notice my pc is only noticing a VGA card on reboot instead on a 2600 XT. Could that be a problem? Im trying to install the Sapphire 32 bit hotfix drivers I have a sapphire radeon 2600 xt window xp sp3 Thx in advance..James |

What you need to do is remove the card from Device Manager, reboot and let Windows redetect the card and then Automatically install the Windows drivers for the card. Once that's done, reboot and then try installing your video drivers of choice. Windows needs to install the native VGA drivers before you can proceed. Good luck! |

Re: AGP 2600 XT problem on install
Hi!
I have the same video card and XP SP3. I don't know wich driver you are talking about but the best driver set is for me :ATI AGP hotfix 8.10 (8.11 just came out for PCIe cards) I'm waiting for 8.11 AGP hotfix. You can download 8.10 from ATI AMD website. It can recognize Sapphire HD2600XT vidcard without any driver mod. Hope it will help! Bye |
