They even released the 9.2 AGP Hotfix, same day!

http://support.ati.com/ics/support/d...estionID=31625

I'm reluctant to grab it though based on the 9.1 AGP Hotfix which I was only able to get 640x480 8-bit, which mind you with a 3850 and a 22" wide screen was a very miserable experience.

Re: ATI Catalyst™ 9.2 Display Driver for Windows XP Professional/Home

My tests ran at 1680x1050, max settings, compared to 8.12 AGP Hotfix drivers
LightsMark 2008 - 232.5 (+0.4fps)
F.E.A.R. Performance Test - 33/73/167 (0, same)
HL2:Lost Coast: 96.56 (-3.73fps)

Negligible for me, about even with the 8.12's. I see no gains or major losses.

DVD playback, well, I've never had bad DVD playback with a ATI card, it is always top notch.

PS: I don't use WinDVD or PowerDVD, preferred is either Media Player Classic Homecinema or VLC. DVD viewing without the BS and for free.

Re: ATI Catalyst™ 9.2 Display Driver for Windows XP Professional/Home

I have had issues with UT3 and Half Life 2 games, the games and the entire OS lock up when starting. Never had this issue with 8.12 AGP Hotfix, and am switching back.
