saphire 3650 agp opengl issues

I installed a the saphire 3650 agp card in my computer last week, it works great besides opengl. I've tried several different drivers with no luck. Any ideas?

Specs:
athlon xp 2800
asus a7n8x-la (hp branded)
2gb ddr ram
400w antec psu
saphire 3650 512mb agp

have you tried to download these?

yep, using the 9.4 hotfix at the moment. i've tried the previous 3 as well

this is odd... as i've personally never ran into the open GL issue other then with some failed driver installs or corrupt drivers.....

i would suggest checking the card in another machine perhaps.. or trying a much older driver that supports the agp hd3xxx series

the agp opengl does seem to be a know problem, i was linked to this site from google when I searched. i'll give another driver a shot. or install it in another computer.

sapphire recommended RMA'ing the card but i'd rather not be without it. i can use dx for everything anyways :laugh:

can you pull up what driver/date it's using.

load the catalyst control center and under software info, post a screenshot of that information...

that's really odd.. as everything there looks spot on..

is there any chance you can go download cinebench10 and run the opengl test and see what it presents for a error or if it works.

cinebench10 just crashes, wont even run

catalyst hotfix 8.7 drivers appear to be working for opengl

edit - counter strike 1.6 reports video mode not supported when switching to opengl, but the opengl test works (although the rainmeter app i have on my desktop flickers like mad)

edit 2 - seems as if my fps in directx is much worse now as well

IF cinebench10 won't even run.. i think you may have other problems besides just video.... as cinebench shouldn't even try and load anything open GL right off the bat... it's got some good cpu tests..

i'm not sure what to suggest.. maybe you've got a memory problem perhaps with the system.... memtest?

after changing from catalyst 9.4 to 8.7, cinebench10 ran fine.. along with another opengl tester.

i wonder why the opengl works under the older driver and not the new 9.4 . i feel as if my hd video playback has suffered a little as well.
