exclamation Omega Drivers help!

so recently i have replaced motherboards on my dell 6400 to obtain a radeon x1300 graphics card. i noticed that the graphics drivers provided on the dell website were out of date, so i decided to turn to omega. after trying to play stepmania, i had noticed that there were black bars on both the left and right sides of the screen. i had ignored it thinking it was the settings of the game. after trying to play portal however, i had noticed that there was the same problem. then i tried changing the resolution, only to find that it could only be set to 1024 x 768! so i went to the desktop, right clicked and went to properties and found something odd, my laptops screen max resolution is 1280 x 800, but for some reason, it could be set to 2560 x 1600. after looking around in the omega driver settings, ive noticed that the max hresolution is set to 1024 and vresolution is set to 786. can someone help me fix this!

Re: Omega Drivers help!

as far as i know omegas drivers are way out of date & there has been no support for them in a year plus.
i would either download the latest drivers from dell or download the latest drivers from ati & use mobility modder from here- http://www.hardwareheaven.com/modtool.php

and welcome to dh!

Also you could try DNA drivers as a friend uses them in his notebook (mobility x1300) and he says that they work well, the mobility modder should work though
