ATI x1650pro Driver updating, fixing problems in MW2

Hello guys, to get a basic overview of my problem, you could check this thread

Weird stuff in game @ Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Forums

Basically the common advice Ive been given is to update my graphic drivers.

BUT, apparently ATI no longer supports my 1650pro and im forced to use v9.8 of their drivers.

Ive tried just downloading later versions, but I cannot install them. Nor can I install older versions.

Does anyone have any possible solutions in this case?
