Lh Fix Needed To Make 9800 Pro Work
I am trying to get my Hercules 9800 Pro to work in LH build 4015 but so far I have been unsuccessful. It is stuck with basically no acceleration and refresh rate at 60 mhz. I can change bit color settings but that is it. I've tried using ATi's 3.5 and Omega's latest drivers for XP but it stops the install about half way through it.
Any suggestions or ideas to bring my card to life?

Well, as usual for me, once I posted this it made my brain cells burn, baby burn!
I figured out a fix. When you install any of the Ati drivers for XP, it deposits the drivers and setup files in a folder of your choice. LH stops the install way before it deposits the drivers and setup files into a folder. Since both drives with LH and XP are on the same computer, I was able to look across partitions and find those drivers. LH took them although not all was set correctly but for most practical purposes I have about 90% speed as I did in XP.

Moved. Have you tried using RefreshForce?

I had my previous 8500 fix via a bios change. I can see your tool is very helpful for per installation. I'll try it in LH see if it works. I'm thinking it should since it appears that LH has only added 64 bit with a lot of fluff and some minor changes to the start menu. My 1st impression on this 4015 build is "not ready for primetime...no way!"
Of course, my problems have been with getting the 9800 Pro working. Another annoying problem is the Raid PCI card (Silicon Image 0680 chipset) I am using. It is not compatible with LH during setup either as a Raid setup or using a single IDE drive on it. I had to move the drive to the board's IDE controller to run setup and then I can move it back over after the setup. Of course, setup was shaky. It took many attempts to get a successful complete on an Asus Springdale board. The only thing I can think of that I did different for the successful install was not select the F5 key which changes the ACPI feature for single or dual processor. Strange things. Thanks for your help.
