GTOmo, you have to re-install DX9.0b, it seems there is a problem with DX in your RIG, all those test must work. After Dx, re-install the drivers and see if in the Advanced SmartGart Options all is enabled.

Everyone, the dual monitor seems to be a bug in the current release, even the normal ATI drivers have the problem.

thanks

Thanks Omegadrive, I installed directx9.0b and ended up going back to the 3.5 omegas. Seems to be working well now, will do more testing, but seems to be alot more stable. Thanks again.

"I have this really annoying problem. Any driver greater than 3.4 (Omega and Official) I get this weird mouse lag in Raven Shield. IQ and framerate shoot through the roof with these newer sets but the mouse lag is holding me back from them. Does anyone else experience this? And if so, how do you remedy this? I've done all I can think of to fix it."

I posted that in the Gaming Forum but no one responded. I heard something about having Vsync off causing it. So I turned Vsync back on and it was fixed but I get really low frames in Raven Shield if I turn it on. Any driver from 3.4 and back it ran fine with Vsync off. I don't get it.

??? This may sound stupid, but....

In the settings tab for Colors, you can make profiles for various games or whatever and save them and also enable hotkeys to adjust settings in game like increasing brightness, gamma...etc. These functions do not work now. Is it someting on my machine or is this something that is disabled? I use the hotkeys alot because sometimes in games, the screen is too dark so I set alt+f1 to increase brightness and alt+f2 to decrease it. These worked fine in the Cat 3.5's and the profiles when selected also loaded when 3d apps were loaded, but don't function anymore. I tried reinstalling the drivers and making the profiles and assigning hotkeys again, but to no avail, it still doesn't work. Any ideas or will I have to go back to 3.5?

Try the Rage3D tweaker, it has profiles, though you have to manually switch them, but it's better than nothing.

Desert_S., did you check to make sure the ATI hotkey poller service was enabled and set to automatic in the Administrative tools/ services? Just a thought, maybe that's why it's not working for ya.

Funny thing is adjusting desktop colors and brightness with the sliders works fine, just no 3d profiles or hotkeys. Oh well, I will screw with it some more and see whats what....

I think that means you need to re-download the file. You got an incomplete copy somehow.

Omega 2.4.74 and 16bit FSAA

Hi,

I like my old sim games and the 16bit FSAA finally works on Omega 2.4.60 (cat 3.5). But when I install the new Omega 2.4.74 (cat 3.6) the 16 bit FSAA go away again. Any way to fix this?

Thanks,

Rubini.

Hi All,

Am having a major problem with the omega drivers. I have a Sapphire Radeon 9500 Atlantis 128MB DDR. I installed the card using the included drivers and then uninstalled these (all ATi components) via add/remove programs and installed the Omega 2.4.74 hacked drivers. The card appears to be working ok with the original drivers (no artifacts or anything) however, with the Omegas I get a strange checkerboard pattern overlaid on the screen when running 3D Mark 03. I have reinstalled DirectX 9b and still the same issue is apparent. All settings are at default.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

My Spec is:

Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro (nForce2 Chipset)
Athlon XP2200+
1536Mb DDR PC2700
Sapphire Radeon 9500 Atlantis 128MB DDR
180GB HD Storage on Raid0
Creative Labs SB Live! 5.1 Digital

Running Windows XP Pro SP1 + All available updates from MS.

The Omega drivers gave me serious problems , had to totally remove them and re-installed catalyst drivers, working fine now.

From what i have read in the forum, there are a lot of people that are having problem installing
omega drivers, especially with clean installation. I was just wondering if Omega can make the
installation to be the same as the catalyst drivers in the next releases so that everyone can
install omega drivers easier.

Yes. If it were up to Microsoft, no one would ever leave MSN.com...would purchase everything they own from Microsoft...would...

All was well with the Omega 3.4's, could not install 3.5 or 3.6 (hacked driver). Installed Omega 3.6 okay on Win 98 SE (no hacked driver available).
