Bad Powercolor Radeon 9500 128MB

Hi,
i got a Powercolor Radeon 9500 card with 128MB and 3.6 Accesstime and just cannot get it to overclock ...
Increasing RAM or Core something over 275 or 270 (540) gives me artifacts (colors mostly). This errors sometimes take a long time to arise - so it seems to be a heatproblem ... but i never had such a problem with my Asus V9280 Ti4200 and am now hesitating to go back to NVidia :-(

Biggest problem is, that my PC produces a Beep sometimes when i play or when running 3DMark2001 for some time - even when NOT trying to overclock ... don“t know what actually is beeping - but of course this is not acceptable :-(

Idea idea, help or information for me?

Should i get th is card away or can the problem be solved?!?

I use Omega drivers 2.4.74 now, after testing just Wizards 9500->9700 softmod and then the DNA-Drivers ...
Right now, i work on top of DirectX 8, not 9 - could this be a problem?!?

:-/

Donator
No it is not the ATI chipset, it is the brand....
Powercolor - Appollo and some others I can't think of at the moment
(i'm shure Judas or Uberlord knows a few, 'cause they gave the Kyro chipset a real bad name)
should be avoided like the plague, sure they cost a few bucks less but in the end you pay dearly for those !!
bring it back if you can and get a better one

Quite strange ... can it be possible that different tweak-utilities give different results at overclocking!?!?
Hard to believe .... :-/
Core-Clock and Memory-Clock should always be the same thing - not differing with the toll that allows for them - or not?!?
(confused)
