Default Post Omega 2.4.30 drivers + Win 98 Power Management

Hi Guys. Omega cought me out by moving the forums just after my first post, so
here it is again...

I've been using the "out of the box" ATI 4.13.7189
dirvers for some time, (Radeon 7500 on a PII 350 with
Win 98). Mostly OK, but some visual problems like
black lines in menu backgrounds in American McGee's Alice.

I upgraded to the latest ATI drivers (4.13.01.9031).
Big mistake. Botched install left me with the machine
thinking it had 2 display drivers (VGA + Radeon) and
3 screens, when there's just the radeon and 2 screens.

Clearing everything and installing Omega 2.4.30 fixed
those problems (Alice still has those black lines).

However when the machine goes into power save mode
on either the motherboard or screen, the radeon
gets stuck in sleep mode (moving cursor but blank screens)
and won't wake up without a power cycle and reboot.

Anyone seen this before and fixed it? I know Win98
power management is flakey, but this is a pain. The only
solution so far is to disbale both system board and screen
power management, which kind of makes it useless.

Default Post What rev?

Thanks for the reply. I've been offline for a few days rebuilding Win98. Which release number of
your drivers has the fix?
