I recently picked up a powercolor 9000 ati card. I was trying to tweak the card out with rage3d and radlinker. Well to no avail I havent been able to overclock it at all. I found out that ati has built in a program to keep from having people overclock their cards anymore. I tried using omega's most recent drivers for the card and tried overclocking it again, but no luck. It accepts the overclock but when i run 3dmark 2001se it gives the same exact benchmark. I check the clock speed again and it is reset back to the bios settings. I guess is what I am asking is, is there anyway around this to get the card to overclock or is it permanently locked in place? I used to have a radeon 8500 but unfortunately the card got fried b/c of my carelessness. I bought some ramsinks to get the card to run faster b/c the memory was heating up way to much and causing lockups. Well the epoxy that i bought from artic silver, leaked out alittle on one of the chips and i didnt notice until it was too late

. Alas I didnt have any 3d capabilities anymore. So i went out and found this card and modded this one too by adding a fan to the heatsink b/c to cut costs down ati made this card for mainstream purposes and didnt have one on it. Plus installed the ramsinks, and I just wanna know if I can overclock this card or not? Thanks for reading and hopefully I can get some tips. Thanks.
