Default Post I'm new to ATi, got some questions...

My old desktop had a GF3 Ti500 in it, now I have a laptop with the Mobility Radeon 7500. Just got it today and the default drivers installed were 6037. I downloaded the latest drivers from ATi, which were 6094. These drivers wouldn't install, I get the popular, "Video driver not found..." error. Not sure why. So, I grabbed the 1107 Plutonium drivers and installed them as well. I did this after uninstalling the 6037 drivers, but not the way the website says, just through Control Panel.

However, the performance wasn't enhanced too much. I'm not really sure what these Plutonium drivers do over ATi's. Are they supposed to enhance something? Please explain to me the purpose of these, do they do something special or better?

Also, how do I check which power mode the video card is running in? Anything else I can do to tweak this card out?

Thanks.

The Omega/Plutonium drivers are meant to enhance game performance if I'm not mistaken.

Omega already applied the most of the best registry tweaks. If you want to overclock you can download a tweaker like Rage3DTweak or just use powerstrip.

Or use the overclocker in the Omega/Plutonium drivers.
