Best driver for Radeon 8500?

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and Radeon cards. Can anyone tell me the best driver for Radeon 8500? I have the 64 Mb 275/275 version.

Yes, from HG. (Alper) You already answered my questions there, but with the Omega Driver 2407 RevA the performance was not as good as I expected.

Juan, I have the 8500 128 B/B ATi card. For my purposes I've found that the Omega drivers based on CAT 3.4 work best for me.

For me, the 3.5 'hotfix' drivers are best, the IQ seems higher than the 3.4's and they fixed an infinite loop error problem I had with an obscure game and didn't cause any extra problems for me. I haven't tried the Omega drivers in quite a while, so I can't comment on those. I'm gonna try them out when he releases his set based on the 3.7's.

I have a 'Built by' ATI 8500 128DDR (note: signature). I never overclock....running at 275/275.

Rayder, do you have your Video Out connected using these 'hacked' drivers? That's the biggest problem for me for anything after the CAT 3.4. I cannot reboot successfully if the Video Out is plugged in.
