HoSTiLe is on a distinguished road

Pissed 9500np, 3.7's - RTCW Locks up right at main menu

I just yanked out my trusty GF3Ti200 last week in favour of a Sapphire 9500np.

I'm finding now that I am having tons of troubles with most games, even after a *clean install of XP SP1*.

Return to Castle Wolf is the worst - bar none.

If I delete my cfg file and start from scratch, I can get the game to load, and even run for a few minutes before it crashes back to the main menu with some sort of OpenGL buffer overflow error.

If I increase my resolution to 1280x1024 (which is where it ran flawlessly on my GF3), the game locks my machine at the main screen - wtf?

Any res below that, and I can at least load a game.

I have done clean installs with:

Cat 3.6's
Omega's 3.6's
Cat 3.7's

(gotta love Ghost!)

.... nothing seems to work.

I bought this card at the same time as a friend, and his went to 9700, is overclocked, and has no issue in ANY game. Mine is stock, no overclock and I can't seem to run a goddamn thing without crashes.

I'm thinking of taking it to work, running 10kV thru it at a couple of mA, and returning it as defective...

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
