Alt+Tab in sof2

Hi all ,

when I alt+tab in Sof2 it's supposed to go to windowed mode but when I do it it just doesnt show anything. I only see the desktop and I can hear the sounds. This has been a problem since the cat 3.5 and it's still in the cat 3.7 drivers.
my specs:
Ati radeon 8500 (now 9100ultra

)
XP 2200
Soltek kt266A mainboard (shouldnt even work with my thoroughbred)
blabla...

I think the problem is in all quake3 engine based games, as it won't work in ET either.
Pleaze fix this problem if you read this Ati , I'm to lazy for a bug report
