9600 Pro & Control Panel

It displays the memory clock as ~300mhz, is this correct? I thought it was 600mhz.. anyways, I have terribly slow 2d, and on large maps in Quake3 (openGL) I get slowdowns. (drops to 80fps form it's normal 125+)

This is all 1024x768 32bpp on latest Omega's @ 2133Mhz, 512mb ddr PC2700...

Could my default memory clock for my new 9600 Pro be too low for some reason? These are fresh driver installs here (using complete uninstalls, drivercleaner2, and regclean)

Please let me know.. I don't know what's up with this card but it shouldn't slow down in Quake 3 one bit at that resolution, right? My machine is pretty quick.. seems like video lag is abound currently, and it's pissing me off..

300 is right, thats 600 ddr. as for your slow 2d, is your agp speed at more than 1x in the smartgart menu in the ati control panel? if not, make sure its set to the fastest in your mobo bios and then retest smartgart, also make sure the ati smart service is set to automatic.
