??? Dawn Demo broken in 3.8 Cat's?

Up until now i hadn't noticed any problems with the new 3.8 Catalysts but tonite i tried to fire up the old Dawn demo and to my surprize the openGL wrapper no longer seems to work. I get the error message:

" An Nvidia GeForce FX is required to run this demo... Unsupported feature..Point_Sprites"

Anybody else experiencing this also? Any way around it or is it back to the 3.7's for me?

Yep probably.. i can't see enough reason to keep the 3.8's. No real difference in frame rates...open GL and D3D settings take longer to get to and apperently they run a little hotter than previous drivers. All of that i could live with but i dont want to put up with broken applications.

lol heh heh ok sorry

Go over to rage3d and some where towards the end of the big "Dawn sleeps with ATI" thread there is a file you can download.
Stick it in your "nvidia demo folder" and all will be good!

Cool, they had to change the GL Wrapper to work with cat 3.8's

Did we also grab the clothing optional patch?

Yep i think i also have that around somewhere here....

Normally i run it w/o the patch applied but i dont see any reason why it should'nt work now that the older atioglxx dll is running the demo.
