Pissed Tv-out

I was wanting to watch some movies with s-video tv out. I'm using omega 3.7 with softmod 9500-9700. Well to cut the the chase, this is the problem. My tv-out res will only go to 800*600, I wonder why its not letting me set the res lower. I'm also, on winxp, if that has anything to do with it.

Well I've never hooked up TV-out ever. I've had my 9700p for about 6 months.. So I decided to hook it up to see what the deal was. At first I had 640x480 available. Then as soon as I changed to a res. higher than that it, and tried to go back to 6 x 4, it wasn't available. Not sure why. I imagine it could be changed with a reg hack or something but not sure. I'm using 3.8 cats.

After 2 minutes I figured out how to get 640 x 480 back.

select the tv - properties - adapter - list all modes - select 640 x 480 true color - hit apply at the bottom - go back to main menu - it will be at 640 x 480

Remember that Windows restricts lower than 800x600 resolutions for the display, you have to do like BWX232 said and remove the limitation by telling Windows to "list all modes".
