Is anyone getting glitchy graphics when crouched or prone? Everything's fine when my character is standing, but when I crouch or go prone, I start getting glitchy polygons flashing on screen. It's nothing major as they only appear for a split second, and not in a great number, but it is noticeable.

I had experienced major stuttering with Omega's drivers based on 3.8 in the fourth level.
Then I tried the .96c's (newest Omega's) and my stuttering problem was resolved.

With extra/extra textures? That's the only time when most people get stuttering. I'd like to see if someone with a 256 mb card has any stuttering with extra/extra textures.

I've remember that UT2003 also fixes stuttering issues (similar to this one) with a patch by making the loading screen longer (i think they allocate more memory or something). I think it should be possible to fix the stuttering with a patch and i don't think the problem is entirely because of not enough memory (256 MB). Actually we should ask geforce 4 ti (128 MB) people to confirm if this issue is really because of the memory seeing most nvidia people say they can run COD flawlessly.
Can anyone here try the COD with extra/extra setting using their geforce 4 ti card? and give feedback

thanks

I played the entire game in either crouch or prone position and never noticed any graphical glitches.

Sorry cant say more, but Im sure one of the tech savvy guys on here can help you further if you need it.

Could anyone explain how you do this?

Rediculious

I thought that a demo was supposed to give you an idea how the final game ran. Well I got both demos and decided to buy this "fine" piece of software. Well it turns out the the FINAL WON'T EVEN RUN! This is so lame, the demos worked perfectly on my 9600 pro and when you run the game either by the exe or the shortcut, the "Loading Call of Duty" logo comes up then disappears with no error message. This is so retarded. And because its software, I can't return it. Yay! I love being out $50 and getting NOTHING in return!!!!

My 9700pro never locked once with any driver- I think its a 9600 - 9800 series problem mostly. Did you try ALL the fixes to run it with your card? Look through some of the threads around here, I bet you haven't tried half of the things that are listed yet.

I'm sure you can get it to run..

Give all your system specs too- and all your settings and your driver install history. I'm sure someone can help you out with a similar config

I've read someone saying that the AIW OpenGL fix this stuttering problem. Is that true? Anyone confirm that?

edit: with a drop of average fps by about 20.

I disabled fast writes. No games will run with it disabled.
I tried AA and AF off, on and all the way inbetween.
I tried the atioglxx.dll.
I tried the official ATI 3.1, 3.8, 3.9. System restore to go back to original state each time.
I tried the Omegas all the way up to current, I have 2.4.78 currently.
I tried reinstalling.
I uninstalled Alcohol 120% and Daemon Tools and then reinstalled COD.

My specs on this machine are as follows:

Athlon XP 1700+ TBred B @ 2.1GHz 168FSB (tried at stock clock too)
512 OCZ 3000 DDR 3-3-6 2T
ATI Radeon 9600 Pro
Abit AT7-MAX Motherboard using onboard sound, NIC, USB
Maxtor Diamondmax 9 80GB 7200 RPM ATA133 HDD
Creative 20x10x40 CDR
420W PS

So thats pretty much it. As I said, both demos run no problem nice and smooth and quick. The retail won't even launch.

Pissed

you are lucky, i tried the same and more and my demos lock´s up from 1-20minutes randomly (also tried 4x agp, hardware acceler down a notch, aperture size´s...., all cathalyst from 3.7 up and now i´m with omegas latest, all the same!)

OK, just tried the hot fix (although i dont have an AIW they told me to try...), nothing! the game still locks up after a few minutes AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGg this is incredible!
Bought this card to play Battlefield and COD in high quality and not even able to play stable...........very disapointed, very sad, another thing i can do? any more ideas?
Need a fix (i know Ati is on it but please realease it fast!), the only thing i will try is to put an 80 FAn direct to the ati (may be its running HOT?)

thanx
