Mobility 9600pro and blank screen

Hallo,

I am having trouble installing any other drivers catalyst drivers for the new Radeon 9600 Pro 128mb on my Rock Laptop, tried the Omega drivers and the catalyst drivers with an affective mod, but the problem still persists. The problem being that when I initiate a 3D program/game the scren goes black and I have to reboot the laptop. I honestly do not have a clue as to why this is happening, dont know if the timing of the card i not compatible with the drivers????

The only drivers that do work are the cat 3.7 that I received with the laptop, the only reason why I am chasing this matter is because I dont like slow framerates on Halo and 3D mark 03 of 2993.

try disabling the VPU recovery feature in the control panel. doing so fixed a lockup problem I was experiencing in MC2.
