I have noticed that Omega mentioned an exclusive version of Driver Cleaner. I am uncertain where this is available.

Re: Special Driver Cleaner for Radeon Omega Drivers 2.4.96c ?

Only problem is if you uninstall Omega Drivers- it uninstalls the Omega driver cleaner too- this is when I usually use driver cleaners- (AFTER I uninstall the driver) So I don't really get it.

It's a great idea though, right before it came out, I was going to ask if someone could make a program like that. After trying to uninstall the Omega (3.8)- I had some problems with files left over.

FYI this is what I wrote in the cleaner readme:
Full Uninstall Instructions: 1. Uninstall the ATI Omega Drivers from Windows Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. 2. Restart the PC in SAFE MODE. (Keep pressing F8 before the Windows boot screen appears) 3. Run Driver Cleaner and click start to remove the remaining files and registry entries. 4. Uninstall the Omega Setup Files and Tools from the Start menu. 5. Restart and just install any driver you want. Done! The tools in the start menu are the LAST thing you need to uninstall from my drivers. |

I read that in the read me. I don't know what I did wrong - but I did that exact same thing and when I restarted in safe mode, the Omega driver cleaner and all the other folders were gone already. (from the start menu- it uninstalled before I could use it)
Sometimes I switch back and forth so much between Stock, Omega to compare things in different games, it would be nice to be able to uninstall Omega drivers through CP, A/R prog., then restart in safe mode and use the special Omega DC, then still have Omega DC installed in a different place. (like how regular DH DC works). Next time I'll try to do it again to see if I can get it to work with the steps above..

Just a thought and I am be really off base here, but you can try this. If you have your HD partitioned just make a folder for the Omega Cleaner and stick it in the folder on another partition and run it from there. The reason I am thinking this would work is I have several different driver versions ATI & Omega on my D partition. When I use DC it does not mess with the stuff in these folders. Again, just a thought.
