I'm at a loss!
I use my Radeon 9800 with 2 devices. A 22" Iiyama CRT and a Panasonic L300U projector. Both use VGA (because DVI support is limited on the PJ). The CRT is connected to the VGA port, I use the VGA adapter for the beamer. I've installed the latest 3.10 Omega drivers and after that I've installated PowerStrip. (The included HDTV resolutions don't do the trick for me. I need at least 1280*720 and some weird ones like 952*518. Don't ask, it gets me nearly 1:1 mapping, which is sweet.) Now, normally I can copy/paste a whole slew of resolutions into Powerstrip. After a reboot, I'm good to go. This time, however, most of my resolutions give me this crappy panning virtual desktop crap. On the CRT side everything is peachy, it's the beamer (2nd device) that's stuck with the panning. I don't have a driver for the beamer, so I've gone ahead and installed the Sony GDM-W900 driver. This is supposed to handle every resolution available. (I've also tried the plug&play driver. Same thing.) DDC is OFF on both display devices. (Was never on in the first place, considering the projector doesn't support it and the CRT is connected with BNC wires, wich don't support it either.) Is there a registry setting where I can double check this setting? Or some ini file that holds the info? I know the problem is at the ATI side of things. When I switch to 952*518 in PowerStrip, the display section of the ATI controll pannel says the resolution is 720*480. Hence the Panning. HELP! Last edited by trooper; Jan 11, 2004 at 04:27 AM. |
