Laptop Drivers

Do'nt know about other manufacturers, but Omega's latest drivers work great on my HP notebook with a 64 mb ATI Mobile 9200 card.

that is exactly where the problem lies. Look at my other thread about shutdown problems.....

I want to install newer Catalist(3.9 or 3.10) but it doesn´t work on my laptop (Amilo D, Radeon 9600) Fujitsu siemens only provide older catalist based drivers.

Laptop Drivers

Just read the entire thread. I can't see how video drivers can be the cause of batery only, non-game only shutdowns (versus lockups or reboots). At one point in your discussion, you said that the problem was happenning with your old drivers too, but later say it is only with the Omegas. Normally, a battery only shutdown is the result of your battery failing to hold a charge, but that would not explain why battery only 3d gaming is unaffected. Still, the "scientific method" to test this would be to try a different battery.

First i had my original drivers installed (based on Cat 3.7) : everything fine.

Then i installed latest Omega drivers: Shutdown in battery.

I Re-installed my original : The shutdowns were stll there!!!!!

After RE-installing Windows XP totally, the problem was gone(original driver)

Conclusion: The Omega drivers DO have something to do with this shutdowns, the question is WHY and HOW!!!!!!

I want too use Omega or Cat 3.10, because of much better performance and quality. And they offer better settings....
