Need Help with Radeon 9600 Pro
Hey people, I recently got an Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 128mb. I got it so I could higher FPS in "Command & Conquer: Renegade". Well, it did'nt help. I would never be able to go over 60 FPS. So I mentioned something to a friend of mine and he pointed out your website and drivers. Well, I downloaded drivers and he helped me to install them because I did not know what I'm doing.
I was not impressed even after that, I wanted better. Then he informed my the FX 5200 was not all THAT great. So I looked around and ended up buying a new Radeon 9600 Pro 128mb. So, I went back to you site to download the drivers. Problem: They don't work I spent all night uninstalling, re-installing. I can't figure what to do. Can someone help me?

Welcome to DH trunkskgb!
What do you mean that the drivers do not work? Do they not install correctly and what problems do you experience when using them?

Well, when I got my card...I installed the drivers on the disc. It did that auto-run thing. Then i went and downloaded, installed Omega Drivers. Did the whole install thing. Well, w/e it did, It didnt work, because after installing...I would have no drivers at all, and would not detect my card. So I end up taking them away, and adding the original drivers.
I always made sure to delete previous drivers too. Iunno what's going on. It worked fine with my Geforce, but this is is hard. Hmm, another thing. Since I could not get my drivers working, I just installed the ones ATI provided. I wake up this morning, and It says I have no drivers installed what the hell is going on? Anyway, When installing the omega drivers I get this message. "Code 10: DEvice Cannont install" I install the drivers by clicking the install icon I downloaded, then going to Control Panel>Performance & MAintence> System> Hardware>Device Manager. I right click the display adapters and chose to update drivers. Then I get that error message and they won't work. The secondary driver(pci) installs ok. But then the regualr driver(agp) gets that error. I thought it was because i was installing secondary 1st, but its not. |

You can try to use driver cleaner 2.7. This will make sure that all of the previous drivers are deleted.
Or for the best result (if you have the time), you can do a format of your HD and do fresh installations on everything. |
