Why am I cursed when using Omega.....

Everytime I use one of Omega's releases for radeons something really terrible happens. The current one, 2.5.14, has messed me up. When I try to install it, i get a "INF Error driver missing". So then I think I should roll back to my previous Omega driver, 2496c.......nope, the setup files got messed up. Dont know if the new omega did it or not. Everywhere I go to get the 2496c installation file, it's either painfully slooooooooooooooooooooooow (im talking about .05 kbps) or downloads about 2 megs then stops.

It has to be my comp, cuz everyone i see uses Omega drivers with ease but with every release I've had trouble with em. I could use ATI's official, but I can't use the "hidden power" locked in my radeon 9500 NP. PLEASE someone help me find a good working link to omega 2496c or help me with the 2.5.14 problem.
Anything will be appreciated.

Post up all of your system specs. It could be a bad install. You may need to update your chipset drivers. Maybe you need an updated bios. Maybe a fresh Windows installation.... we just need more information about your system so we can better assist you. When was the last time you reinstalled Windows? Have you been having any other problems. Etc.

Windows XP SP1 (last installed about 5-6 months ago)
P4 1.5ghz
Intel 850M mobo
4x128 Samsung RDRAM 800
Radeon 9500 NP 128 DDR (with L shaped ram)
80GB Seagate Baracuda (just been defraged)

Does anyone have a link to Omega 2496c that works and has a tolerable speed......i'll take anything that's 5kbps and overr....im desperate!
