if i wanted to play games without AA i would have bought a console

dont understand why AA is screwed in the ATI department.

i didnt buy a state of the art graphics card to play games in CRAP quality.
its like im back in the dark ages here.

anyone else here playing this game that has AA working ? or you found a tweak to get it to work ?
and also why does this game have such bad performance on 9800 XT ? its like playing the game and you have something runing in the background its not stuttering or anything just sluggish especialy out on the map or in the tree`s lol

though i have to admit this game looks awsome pitty about the AA

ohh and also the setting im useing it 1024x768 res.

Is it capable of high resolutions like 1600x1200?

If so just put it up there in games and dont worry about FSAA

this game runs like crap on my system at 1280x967

1280x1024 is my monitors highest res .

its a stuttering EDIT: i mean Laggy not stuttering mofo for me on a 9800XT 256 / 3200+

why is this game so unplayable at high res for me
1280x967 should be flying for me....

and also my 9800 XT is overclocked to 445 core 380 memory
and its still stutters on that resolution

what's your AGP Apature at? try 32/64/128 and see which one preforms best.... as having to small.. or to large of an Apature size sometimes results in stuttering..... that fast write on or off...

Nah his system is way to slow for the game.

It runs slow on mine at 1280x1024 So your Pc will struggle - stuff AGP aperature size, this wont make a huge difference were you will gain 20fps+

Upgrade your system in about 3mths.

HMMMM this god dam SUCKS and my apature is set to 256MEG though this is what Zardon uses so it cant be that. if your saying FUNKYMONKEY that my system is to slow for this game then that is a real dissapointment ! ok time for a refund !! shit :/

Well bro, all i know is this: I have my AMD64 o/c to 3.5ghz, my Hercules 9800 PRO 128mb isnt o/c (as i dont believe in o/c GPU's) and when i launch the game in 1600x1280 it jerks like a moffo. If i lower the res to 1280x1024, I still get bad fps. I think the game will have optmised a few of the glitches when released.

what you talking about when released ? im playing the final game lol its no beta and i have the latest update installed the update seems to have smoothened things out but its still a laging game not a stuttering game lol just feels lagy to me also with no AA it looks like a laggy jaggy mofo lol but the game does indeed look very very good and the action is great even though the ragdoll effect sucks hehe

do you have the latest AGP and motherboard drivers? I was getting shitty performance until i updated my Motherboard 4in1 drivers. and my aquamark score went from 17,000 to 35,000.

nuG check the scores in my sig ! i dont use VIA drivers i have the latest nvidia nforce drivers 3.13 and latest bios and direct x and 4.10 omega`s !!! i was doing more tweaks last night and i think i have it playable now lol

My freind, your system is fine and should have ample enough power to play Chrome, or any new game out. You'll realize this when you play U2K4. I mean, look at your benchmarks. With those beautiful FSB timings you have, you probably don't want to go 1600 x 1200 as you won't be taking full advantage of the memory bandwith you have. 1280 x 1024 for me seems like a good balance between CPU-Memory-GPU. I passed on Chrome and Deus Ex 2 for that matter.

Reason is the demos ran so crappy on my system (Only outside environments in Chrome) and people like you with kick ass systems ADVISING CRAPPY PERFORMANCE. I know by system has ample enough power and I am not going to waste my hard earned money on poorly designed games anymore. I know my system rocks and these manufacturers better start thinking of producing more quality games and not some shit coded software shoved out the door to take advantage of enthusiasts like us.

i would have to agree i thin my system is fully cappable of playing anything out there unless like you said crappy coded games come out! and yes dues EX2 was realy shitty for me and most other people i know with good systems and chrome is perfect in buildings for me just i get a kinda laggingness feeling when i go out on the map levels lol :P hopefully i will be able to play this game perfectly when i get my new raptor 10,000rpm ESATA next week aswell as mushkin pc3500 222 Special Level2 1 GIG DDR :P still i should have been able to play this game but i like the game a lot and hopefully when i get the new stuff i will be able to play even better i was getting the stuff anyway not just becuse of the game but becuse i need new ram and fast ass hdd lol :P

The outside levels were a bit sluggish for my as well with my AMD setup. However, just play Halo for awhile and it makes Chrome seem like it flies!!!

Did you guys not know that Chrome was fully optimised for nvidia cards.

I too get crappy performance in sum areas.One guy i was talking said he gets a stable 70fps on his GFFX 5900 with everything maxed at 12x10 with 4xaa.

Not bad... I get 120fps with those settings and thats with an ATI 9800 PRO and the latest patch applied.
