I'm using a Radeon 9700p and when i connect to my tv using scart or s-vhs cable and turn on overlay to watch a movie it turns off the overlay mode after a couple of minutes and i have to turn it back on again...and so on and so on-I have tried both omega's drivers and Ati standard, but still the same problem...
Tried uninstalling the drivers completely but nothing helps It seems to go back to default everytime and it doesn't matter what program i use to watch the movie with! The tv is a 32" panasonic widescreen. Does anyone have a clue what's causing this? Hopefully someone can help me cause it's driving me nuts

Okay, here goes:
Step 1: Enable "Theater mode" in the control panel.... Step 2: Start a movie (dvd or avi/xvid) using powerdvd 5/media player/winamp (doesn't matter which program) and start watching on my secondary display... step 3: watch for a couple of minutes until i loose videopicture because "theater-mode" shuts off... No matter what i do this happens... ARGH

Did you use Drivercleaner? Sounds like it might be a conflict between different versions of the ATI Control Panel app itself.

My friend had similiar problems with his ATI 9700 Non pro, he did everything he could bu nothing helped, he then realised that it was his Graphics card that was causing the problem, he changed it and then it was OK (he got a new one that is)
