Thanks fellas, I fixed it and I must say I feel like a bit of a dumbass after all these years of gaming.
I did a fresh install and patch process and "VIOLA" runs like a dream.
My hat tips to you all for the help and you guys rock as usual.

Thanks again for the input as I realy thought I was gonna have a problem with this one.

Thanks todd, much appreciated. I'm currently watching Erin Brockovich on TV and I gotta tell ya, if i ever meet a chick like that, I'm gonna marry her. I love a woman with a fire in her belly like that. None of this wimpy 'coathanger' type stuff hehehe.
