Temp monitor and Omegas?
Decided to install the new BBATI 9800XT, (make sure it worked...wtf..) didn't bother installing the stock
Cats...juse the new Omegas. Glad to see Radclocker back. Needless to say I haven't seen the new Overdrivescreen...etc. Was wondering if there is some type of way to use Radclocker, yet still use the thermal sensor of the O'drive? If not, is it possible to have a future Omega release with a temp monitor program? Are there any temp monitor programs out there that work with the little thermal sensor on XT's? BTW...the Omega 4.2 based drivers for XP...best 've ever seen. Can't believe how good LOKD at 16x AF and 6AA looks... Picked upa fewframes in F1Challenge (DX.8.1)...as well. Thx. 'n advance |

Make sure the ATI Hotkey Poller Service is running so you can see the Overdrive Tab. You can monitor the temps without Overdrive being enabled.

this set...I think. (I can't find it in the Admin/Services like usual.) These drivers look really good. Anyway, to add the Hotpoller so I can read the temps? Figures the one time this Polling crap can actually do me some good...it's now gone.

NM...thinking of the wrong profiler/(3-D professor?) that was taken out.
After looking at this XT....I can say the memory on it kicks ass. The Hynix I believe it's called, is rated for 400MHZ (x2=800MHZ), so if that's the safe level, 420 wouldn't be pushing it hard. I ran ATI Tool v0.17 and the memory held a good level at 410....that's with stock cooling. I took the HS off, and noticed that the memory is attached totheHS by thermal-gel tape. Put some AS on it...might hit 430...x2=860. Not bad. On the bad end the core is not cooled worth a crap. That little quiet fan (if it's too loud, you're too old) and plastic greenhouse just make the Core side run hot. Memory on the core side is also attached, or actually just touching the HS with Thermal-gel tape. Also, the core has what looks to be good Silver content paste....applied about half an inch too thick. ![]() This is is a project card... ![]() Got the overdrive temp working...kinda cool...Overdrive is really not anything though. Wonder if the HS's on here are real copper...looked like a combo of copper and steel when I flipped 'em over..
