Collorfill setting is not holding on when turned on in unified view - works from separate view.

Hey Chris, I have loved your Radlinker program, but when I took my 9800 Pro out of my Dell 4600 and put it in my new computer which has an Abit Is7 Motherboard, Radlinker does not work. Like other people, my computer will boot up until the "welcome to windows" screen and then randomly crash. It will never boot into windows unless I uninstall radlinker.

I am really dissapointed since your program is so useful. Do you have any suggestions?

Does the the combined 3d tab under radlinker overide the settings on the regular 3d tab? I noticed that in the omegas the regular 3d tab was removed, but when i install the 5.3 cat & radlinker the regular 3d tab was still there and the settings were different than what I had set in the radlinker 3d tab.

Chris could you release RadLinker with the control panel addon for regular drivers if omega was not to update his drivers anymore?

Was anyone able to get RadLinker working with World of WarCraft?
I've tried a few times but it never seems to want to pick up the settings I apply to it.

When that dreadful, 50 mb RAM eating program called Control Center came out, i searched for a lite and reliable alternative. Among the programs i checked was your Radlinker that impressed me with its good interface and compatibility , its options and the fact that it does all that without running anything in the background. The problem is that i am currently playing HL2 and i have noticed that whenever i set AA and aniso settings on the Radlinker panel, there is a flickery mess in the game ... Before you ask i must inform you that i use the temporal AA modes but that is not what is causing the problem. I installed ati tray tools and set everything to App preference and the temporal mode to 3 to test if that was the problem and the flickering was gone. Temporal was still on , i could tell by the smoothness of the image and the drop of the framerate (i used cl_showfps on the console). After some googling, i found out that some games produce visual anomalies when their settings are overridden by the driver. On a different note, i have also noticed the same thing with LDBlues and that made me think that Ati may have changed the switches the CP uses to set the AA nd aniso values in the registry.

Anyway , what i would like to see in you app is a Temporal AA switcher that set Temporal AA to 2, 3 or off, independently of the AA settings. Some other Ati tray tools options , like WMV acceleration, geometry instancing (if it isn't in there already), and the AA and aniso optimizations in the 3D\Optimizations options (whatever these are ). I really like your program and prefer it from att but until the problem with the AA is fixed, i am forced on using the later.
Finally, i would like to thank you for all your hard work with Radlinker. It has really been the best CC alternative for me and countless other Ati users.

Whopper is on a distinguished road

I dl and installed the newest omega last week, with a new x800xl agp card... I tried radlinker with americas army. Using the armyop.exe as the file that radlinker points to..this is the file that aa shortcut points to. I can't get any settings to stick. I set AA and AF and about everything else and nothing seems to take effect ingame.

Have I missed something?
or something with the new card that might be too new to have support yet.

OF course it could not me be LOL

thanks for any help

I need your help testing the latest test version. I had to remove lots of stuff I was working on as it seems like I'll never finish. Basically, I just want to make sure the new driver works correctly. If you want to help test, you can download the test version here:

http://users.adelphia.net/~webspace/RadLinkerTest.zip

After I finish paying taxes tonight, I'll be at the beach for a few days. Let me know what bugs you encounter.

Bleach is on a distinguished road

Ive downloaded it and looking good so far. It picks up the clock speeds of my agp x800xl as the previous versions didnt which sucked. Also the 3d tabs are there and they were not on previous versions of radlinker on my x800xl. Nice job. Ill install them with some omeagas later and see if they work out! cheers dooooood!

Slight problem. I can overclock the card when going into the proprerties>settings>advanced way but the overclock setting made for shortcuts doesnt work. The 3d options changing works through the shortcuts but not overclocking.

Yea i have a Radeon X800XL too and this works very well. Except it needs some work done on it, and im sure it will be a great success with the newer cards.

*RESULTS*
Well i installed it, then restarted my computer, and too my surprise i saw the X800XL detected so i was pleased. The overclocking seemed to work and load up successfully even after a boot up. Although after overclocking and playing counter strike source there was some wierd hitchy gameplay not smooth. Also the settings seemed to work well too. I just want to know if i install this again will it effect or improve my 5.4 Cats ?

YESSSS! Thank God I won't have to use ATI TrayTools when my X800XL comes on Tuesday.

hi Chris custom settings is not working as it should in the latest version.
the overclock settings are not working when i launch a game/benchmark.
i've not tried a radlink yet so i dont know if that is broke or not.
also when i first installed my clocks were at zero till i rebooted then they were fine.
my card is a sapphire x800xt agp.

Edit radlinks are not working too, i've tried uninstalling and trying again same results every time.
back to the previous version for me.

Tested it yesterday when I got everything up and running. When I installed Radlinker (test version - using cat 5.4), the OC tabs and OGL tabs where normal but there where no options on the DX tab. I re-booted, and same thing. I unistalled it for now. I hope you can get it fixed. I'm using a X800XL PCi-E.

Do you have more than one graphics adapter installed? Maybe an onboard graphics chip?

I'm having a few probs with Radlink where Steam is concerned. I followed the tutorial to create a Radlink to Steam and set the command line properties to the following: -applaunch 240 -console -heapsize 262144.

Edit: The correct settings are being applied if I add -window (to run css in a window) to the command line. Any thoughts on running full screen?

The "Game Gamma" does not get applied, nor does the brightness/contrast. Even if I adjust desktop gamma it doesn't affect the darkness I find in CS:S or HL2. I tried just using the custom settings instead of the Radlink. Both solutions do perform a "mode change" but it only affects the desktop.

I'm at my wits end. The brightness in CS:S is perfect but everything from midtones to shadows is unviewable, as in way way way too dark. I've searched through the css commands list and I cannot find any setting that tells the game to use the hwgamma setting. Nothing at all seems to affect this game. I'm using Omega 2.6.12 with Radlink 2.033. I have an ATI 9800 Pro 128MB, not overclocking at all. Windows XP SP1 (can't do SP2, i'm sure you can figure out why), Abit NS-7 mainboard with AMD XP 2400+.

Anyone that wants to test the 64 bit version of RadLinker:
http://users.adelphia.net/~webspace/...642035Test.zip

Note: this will only work if you have a 64 bit processor and a 64 bit version of Windows installed.

Works with Cat 5.5 here on a R9800pro. Try rebooting, uninstalling RadLinker and installing again. Or if you used some modified driver package before installing Catalyst 5.5 then perhaps running DriverCleaner could take care of an eventual conflict.

I already do that and even so RadLinker is not installed with success here.

When finishing the installation, seemingly it is everything OK. The program appears in the menu Add/Remove Programs. But it is not integrated into the shell, in Windows. Therefore, I cannot access it.

If it worked before uninstalling the drivers, it should work after uninstalling it too. Try uninstalling RadLinker, reboot, then reinstall it. Are you installing a different version? What graphics card do you have installed?

Hey Chris,

Sorry you aren't going to be updating RadLinker anymore (Read on Omegadrive's site). I like it a lot better than ATI TrayTools.

I may or may not update RadLinker in the future. I'm pretty burned out right now and it seems nobody is interested in a tweaker that does not run in the background and eat up resources anymore. I spent a lot of time writing a new 64 bit version and only got one response, so I think now is probably a good time to stop. No point in writing software just for myself.
