newbie with asus 9600xt and abit nf7s 2.0

Can someone help me with driver decision. I have been trying to get my first build up and running. Many have recommend the the morpheus 4.08 driver over the 3.13 forceware. How about for my asus 9600xt. Which driver would you recommend. I am having trouble with the install of the asus driver from disc. I am no using the sw ide driver as recommended by most. Can someone make this a little easier.

driver

My computer went into an endless loop of telling me to try and restart in safemod, safemode with network, normal, and no choice would make a difference. I have totally formated and reinstalled windows and have not done any driver installs except for ethernet to get onto net for these forums. I have seen many posts that are not to favourable with the asus but that is what I have. I am not a heavy gamer and want the vivo abitlity of this card. I am looking more for stability and video editing than gaming but want that ability also. Sounds like any ati driver or omega driver updates make take away or even edit some of the abilities I am looking for.

Here is what I would do if encountering these problems..:
First (hard) reset your P&P bios *the easy way is to pull the power plug,
and flip out the battery for 30 seconds or look in your mobo manual which jumper it is*,
(while your in the case check if memory & other Cards are fully seated)
put back the batt. & power back on,
set all your Bios options as they should be, remember a 9600 needs fastwrites to be enabled, (do not forget your Raid settings!!),
copy the Asus driver to disk, and install it, although I would go for the newest ATI 4.2 myself...
might wanne check your voltages to...

voltages

Others have mentioned about voltages and as I have not done any overclocking before, my voltages are the defaults in the bios. Which is the main voltage that people raise slightly for stability>

no he means the readsing in your bios for eatch rail on your power supply,

+12/-12 +5/-5 +3.3 and you vcore readings from your bios

morpheus 4.08 driver over the 3.13 forceware are chipset drivers morphious are remixed sets

I'm useing the 3.75's forceware which i can share with you if you want to try them pm me ans i'll hook you up. thier not readliy avilable to the public or easly to find but i've been running them for quite a while now and thier quite stable

I'd suggest running driver cleaner then trying to install the latest set of ati's CAT 4.2 and see how things go from there....

It is important to run driver cleaner after installing the forceware to remove the display drivers it puts on your system for the Nvidia cards. It is highly recommended that you stop the second part of the driver installation on Nforce. Then go to the Nvidia directory, and delete the folders for the system components you are NOT using on your system. i.e., If you are not using the built-in ethernet port, you would delete the Ethernet folder, if you are not using an Nvidia card, delete the Video drivers folder, etc. You can then run the setup program manually. I found this out the hard way the first time I updated my system.
