can u plz bring back the 9700 to 9800 option
because i have 9500 pro, and i hardmoded it to 9700 pro and i want to get the smoothvision 2.1 from 9800, Thankxxxx |

You see, the reason r300 chipsets are slow at rendering shadows is because of the GPU latency clocks, this clock is slower for r300 cards than ANY other Radeon card, but when the MOD is applied, the same latency clocks that are applied to 9800 cards, are applied to the 9700 chipset, thus, running faster at scenes with high settings like FSAA and when rendering shadows. The only drawback is that not ALL r300 chipsets can handle the faster latency clocks, thus, crashing the card or activating the VPU recover on the process. For the mod to work correctly the card must NOT be OC to the extreme and the board must be of good quality to handle the higher latency, that's why I removed it in the first place, to keep people from mailing me about sudden crashes with the MOD on. Hope that clears this once and for all... |
