Multires is it even working

I use multires with the omega drivers to set resolutions above 60 Hz in XP. I felt that since my system format the resolutions were not sticking which was giving quite a headache when playing games. To check I ran 3d Mark 2001 and in the result under details I checked the monitor setting and true enough the frequency had gione to 60 Hz even though on the desktop and in multires it was set to 85 Hz. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this problem. I have now returned to refreshforce in which I just apply the custom settings and it does change; I can notice it in games. SO my question is does multires really work, and if it doesnt will refreshforce be making its way back into the omega driver set

have you tried ATIs built in refresh locker? it works fine and has for me for a long time. I used to use refresh lock et al along time ago but I dont see a need anymore.

When you say "I use multires with the omega drivers to set resolutions above 60 Hz in XP." do you mean you set refresh rates above 60hz or is this problem only happening for you at certain resolutions (for example 1280x1024) and only in games?

What monitor do you have, are you using the monitor INF file and DCC info?

First you must disable DDC in the display properties, then, after installing Multires, you have to go to the Multires options, found in "About Multires" and select LOCK refresh rates.
That should work for all games that DOESN'T do screen changes during the game (like playing movies at one resolution and the game in another).
