Any word on the 4.4 Catalyst Drivers

I have some info:

The next Catalyst driver release will be the 4.4's. They will be the 4th release this year of the Catalyst suite. They are due sometime this month (April) and will be WQHL (or is that WHQL

) certified. They will contain bug fixes and may possibly contain other things like performance increases.

That's about all anyone knows right now......except ATI themselves and the Beta Testers, and Beta Testers are under NDA, so they ain't talkin'.

Now you have ALL the info that any of us has until the 4.4 release notes come out.

OH! This is just a wild guess.....but when the release notes are released, you will more-than-likely find them here:

You can click that link until to your heart's desire, you'll get a "file not found" until the release notes are there, at which point we will ALL know what's up, m'kay?

Intermittent texture corruption and flashing is no longer seen when playing the game Battlefield 1942

Known Issues

Enabling AF to 8x and running the game Battlefield Vietnam with the graphics set to high and the display set to 1280x1024 32bpp results in display corruption being seen at a certain point of the game. Further information on this issue can be found at: www.ati.com/support/infobase/4500.html
