Wxp, Radeon 9500 Pro Issues

hey i need help please, wxp, athlonxp 2100+ 512mb pc2700, sapphire radeon 9500 pro, i cant play most games for over 10 mins without a crash. screen freezes and monitor turns off, then turns back on, corrupt images on screen and a weird sound comes from speakers...

sometimes VPU recover kicks in but it says i have to reboot anyway.

ive tried ALL recent driver sets and the most stable is the old 3.xx series... im not sure what other info to give...

ive tried everything short of a reformat... new nforce2 drivers, new audigy drivers, new video (omega, regular) nothing seems to help

thanks!

athlonxp2100+
512mb samsung pc2700 (1 stick)
WD SE 80GB 8mb cache
Maxtor 120GB 8mb cache
MSI k7n2-L (ms-6570) nforce2
sounblaster audigy OEM
sappire radeon 9500 pro
cdrw
dvdr
wxp pro

thats it as far as i can remember... ive had inexplicable IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL errors in the past but when i started using onboard LAN instead of my 3rd party card it seemed to work better.

anyone need any other info? it generated a crash.* file that was emailed to ATI automatically and i got rid of it already. anything else i can post?

anyone have any clues yet?

ah i knew i forgot something!

well off the top of my head im not sure, it came with my Turbo Gamer X-Pider Case but i looked it up on ncix.com where i bought it and it doesnt say what the PSU is...

i know its rated at 450W but i remember the brand name sounded cheap (but then again "turbo gamer" sounds kinda cheap to me and they make great cases )

either way if theres a chance its the PSU ill believe it...

ive been meaning to upgrade it but i could never bring myself to spend 180 canadian on a 480W enermax when i could get a set of 5.1 speakers for less than half the price

yeah with the Turbo Gamers I do think they put some cheap PSUs in

Does your motherboard allow you to check in the bios what Voltages your Power Supply is putting through?
