exclamation ATI Catalyst Drivers Version 4.4, 64 Bit Version Soon?

I seen this on amdzone:

ATI has released new Catalyst drivers version 4.4 with a number of fixes for games. On a side note I have heard that a 64 bit version could be available as soon as the end of the month! I have been testing a leaked version, but I would prefer something official like we have from Nvidia

Has anyone heard of this leaked version??

System Specs

Nope. Just sounds like the Beta drivers were leaked to this individual. This is highly discouraged.

It may be highly discouraged, but with games coming out that are optomized for 64 bit, and ATI not helping their users/customers, you have one of 2 choices, try to find the leaked ATI drivers, or just switch over to an nvidia based graphics card, if you want to use a game in 64 bit that was made to use 64 bit. Yes I know the 64 bit OS has some type of driver for ATI line, but it's just basic and enough to get by with.

from what I know those 64 bit drivers are far from finished and a set will be released when the final 64 bit OS is released.

I will try the drivers when they are released final and not beta. I didnt try Windows XP 64bit trial yet. To me it makes no sense, there arent even any games out that support it. Oh, we recently purchased Autocad 2005 and the installation has a choice between 32bit & 64bit systems, havent seen any other software that supports 64bit yet!

hmmm thats sure is funny saying none are out, but UT2K4 and Far Cry both are 64 bit ready. At least thats what they say on my box. AMD 64 optomized, you guys don't stay in the loop to well, or that nvidia startup logo has cloude the ole eyes.

Not everyone is using a 64bit CPU, everything is still done for 32bit first. Terry said the drivers weren't done yet, so you guys gotta be patient and wait.

The 64 bit drivers will be out when they are ready, im sick reading people whinging about it. if you want substandard drivers then cool go get unfinished leaked betas. otherwise wait until ATI deem them ready which will more than likely be when Microsoft deem their OS ready. logical.
