Opengl hotfix still available?

I am running the latest Omega 4.4's and have started getting lock ups in COD. The freeze ups are happening within a minute or two of starting hte game so I know heat is not the cause. I found an older post about a using the opengl driver from the Catalyst 3.10 and it also had a link to a patcher but it has been removed. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I can't stand being without COD!!!

Yes, I am running COD 1.4. How was the issue resolved? I still see many users in other ATI forums using Cat 3.10 because COD will not run in with anything else. Please excuse me if I seem uninformed, I am a new convert to ATI so its all new to me. I have been running this Radeon 9800se (no softmod) for about 4 days now.

I finally found out how to extract the opengl driver from the 3.10's and replace the one in the 4.4's with it. I have been playing COD for over an hour with no lock ups. Check the link below for a good "how to" and also some other troubleshooting stuff.

I had cod, I had 3.9's I had the lockups I have two rigs. Cat 3.10 beta (wich is what the opegl fix is) fixed them, cat 3.10 runs just fine cod fine so does 4.1/4.2/4.3/4.4

Two rigs, totally diffrent, amd setups, with one via kt400 and one nforce 2 setup...
cards tested under on @ my house 9600xt, 9800 pro, 64mb vivo (7200 core), and now a 9500pro

hince the problem was adressed and sloved a long time ago. there mabe be a few still with problems but the magority runs the game flawlessly... but i have seen a few people still haveing this problem with some skeptisim becouse so many people almost eveyone had it then they fixed it in 3.10 and it seems to go away over night expect for a couple people....

I'd be interested in detail system specs (all hardware) as well as os and all the drivers versions and any programs reunning at the time.....

mostly I'd also sugest makeing a very detailed bug report to ati
via this link....

My specs are :

Albatron PX845PEV Pro
Intel P4 2.4B @ 3.02
512mb Mushkin Level 1 @ 417mhz
80gig Maxtor 8mb cache/40gig Maxtor
PowerColor Radeon 9800SE w/Omega 4.4's
SB Live Value (XP's native drivers)
Enermax 550w PSU
Windows XP Pro SP1
CDROM + CDRW

Ok, I had a Ti4600. Read up for 2 days on properly cleaning all traces of it and Detonator drivers before installing 9800SE. Install went perfect, ran good for first day. I tried the softmod on day 2 and it was a no go! I uninstalled the omega's with the softmod and reinstalled the normal driver. I had one lock up that night after the reinstall but it ran fine after a reboot. Yesterday all hell boke loose. Locks started in the server screen of COD. I got in the game a couple of times and it would lock up right away and I would have to do a hard reset. As for software in background, nothing is running other than XP's normal services, and my Norton AV is always shut down for gaming. VPU recover is also disabled in the Omega's. I have now been playing off and on for about 3 hrs and not one lock up with the 3.10 opengl driver.

There is a lingering issue related specifically to the level where you get to the village the first time, where you start by storming in under machinegun fire. I don't know if this specific problem still happens with the latest driver and game patch, but it did so no too long ago. When that buggy map is finished you can remove/rename that OpenGL file to play with the normal driver with possibly better image quality for the rest of the game. (at least I had problems getting AA on properly with the old OpenGL)
