I get an INF error when installing drivers for my card, how to fix?

Although i've only seen the INF error once for any ATI driver install.... and it took more then just a redownload of the drivers.... i bloody well ended up formating because i didn't want to screw around with the registry.. ( i tend to pull the wrong strings)

I had this happen once or twice with a nvidia installation..... redownloaded the drivers.. and worked well
