Help an idiot - please!

Hey guys. Bought me first Ati card the other day, a 9800Pro. What I want to know is - how/where do I disable antialiasing.

I have installed the latest Cat drivers, amd a, trying to sort a problem out in Lock On -Moderna air combat, but inorder to do so I need to be sure no AA is being used...

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

right click on the desktop> click properties> click advanced.

you then should be in the ati control panal. look under 3d tag.they will be in the opengl and d3d options.

Understood except I go there and there are options for Opengl and D3D, a slider or a custom button. The custom button allows me to specify 'Application preference' or 2x, 4x 6x etc, but no 'OFF' option. Am I simply being daft?

seen a fix for it some were but not positive on that. i read your post quick and i presumed the answer were the one i gave.not 'off' totally.

does the game give you any options to enable or disable. 'Application preference' would be the one to choose if there is.(states the obvious there).

a 9800pro should have enough power in it to play games with a decent framerate. i used to have one myslf till it blown via some o/c.

click both to "application preference" this basically means that AA or AF wont be used unless you specify in the game options. This can be quite confusing for people new to the Catalyst drivers - it will be redesigned.

Ok, Zardon, cheers for that. I was playing around with this last night, and it seems that running 2x AA causes almost no frame hit in LoMac - it certainly didn't seem any slower than when it was set to 'App Preference'.

Which is nice, 'cos it looks fantastic

Thanks for your help, people!
