To use it you have to install the included RadLinker and follow the RadLinker guide on how to create RadLinks for your games.

Omega...just curious on what your settings are for OpenGL and Direct3d. I usually have AA and AF at 4x and 8x respectively on both. But the sliders for VSYNC and TRUFORM, should I mess with them or leave them as is? I heard in the past if you leave them both off you get better performance is that true?

Thanks for the input, and thanks for the brand new drivers...I am sure they won't dissappoint.

Trueform, leave it off.
As for V-sync, is your choice. You will get better performance with v-sync off, but get texture tearing in fast games.

Anyway, thanks for the great drivers, did you do any testing with these drivers and Farcry? With the last (Omega)set I think I got some texture flickering when zooming in with binocs and scope on long range weapons like sniper rifle...

Just wondering, but I'll test these out and see if it happens. It doesn't do it near as bad with stock 4.4 drivers, and even less with the stock 4.5's, but once in a while it still does. This is with a 9700pro @ 351.00/317.25, so it is an OC'd card, and that very well may be why I see the flickering so much, but I also see it at stock speed.

I fixed the crashing problem Turns out I can't use EAX Audio on my Audigy 1 with kX drivers or the game will freeze.

KICK ASS DRIVERS....THE Temporal AA is just amazing and let me tell you...my friend here has a X800pro and if you are on a AMD XP system the upgrade is not worth it until you run in on a next gen platform like AMD64 because with these new drivers the image quality is near the same on my XP (there are reviews that back this up for all of you doubers).....STILL RATHER HAVE THE X800Pro but still its nice to see my bios flashed, hardmodded, voltmodded, watercooled/extra heatsinked, TAA enabled and overclocked 9500 non pro can still run games with the big boys....

THANKS OMEGA BEST CATS YET!!!!

Note to ATI......PLEASE keep the new cards modable....it will make soo many of us customers for life as it is just soooo much fun to see what you can make old cards do....(while MANY the others will just run them normal) THANKS ATI ABSOLUTE BEST AND I USED TO BE A nV fanboy.

the 4.5's don't officially support the X800 do they?... i mean.... we haven't a beta testing base big enough to even attempt it.... it will be nice if we can get a big enough base....

Absolutely true in all the games that are cpu limited, in some there is a huge improvement with the X800 Pro especially at 1600x1200 with the AA&AF cranked up. I'll be upgrading once the 939 motherboards come out.

Hmmmmm........ this set stinks, the first time i've ever been dissapointed in a Omega set, these cause 'Black Hawk Down', and 'Comanche 4' to stutter. So I reverted back to the Omega 4.4's and all is good again.

Maybe the next set will be better.

Thanks alot Omega, the 4.4 set is great still.

These drivers dont automatically suck just because of two problems. Hell, I have lots of problems with ATI's drivers, thats why i use Omega's.

I've read that for R3XX series cards, the beta catalyst 4.5's have a shader improvement (link below) but that the regular 4.5's do not(nothing mentioned in the official release notes), and TheWall was saying that the betas are better with bf-vietnam. Can anybody confirm whether or not the official 4.5's have this improvement or not?
http://www.3dchipset.com/forums/view...hp?p=3727#3727
And if they are faster, wouldn't it make sense to at least offer a seperate driver package with them?
but of course, thanks for the new drivers anyway omega.

I had a tester that experinced the same stutter in games, he just re-installed the drivers again on top of the first install and done, stutter gone, try it.

Yes, i experienced stutters in any a few games that started to really push the envolope.... (anything DX8 and up would instantly steadily start to stutter... it wasn't like it was hardware not up to par.. it was just simply a set stutter..... Prince of Persia... 3DMark 03 (the first test wouldn't show any sign of stutter... but the rest would instantly)..... a various others that i had ran would either run silky smooth... ot instantly become a smooth... but chop show stutter...)

Simply going to start>all programs>Omega Drivers>(re) install Omega driver did the trick... no need for uninstalling first... just plaster it overtop..

IF ANYONE has an issue with radlinker... simply REMOVE it completely... then install from the omega start>all programs>Omega drivers menu...

Thanks Omega. I will try it. It's like 1am and really late so ill try it tomorrow, I was planning on going to bed early tonight, but then I saw a post that the Omega 4.5 set has been released, and it kept me up another couple of hours. lol

Another reason to stick with Omega: Excellent support.

You would think with all the great service Omega has been providing to the community, that by now someone would of "handed" him a free X800 Pro or something, wouldnt ya?.

hopefully in the future.... the creator of ATI tool can build a Omega edition... as it would be SWEET to have everything available right in the control panel.... what i'd like to see if radlinker make available a "currently profiled" list of games... so that you know which games have been setup from the defaults..

Yeah... I need new SB drivers. I'm downloading the Audigy 2 ZS ones but it takes a while because I need to limit the speed at 7kb/sec or so otherwise my gay ass brother will disconnect the router because of 'bandwidth hogging'

He should speak for himself that gay sack of....... ahem

Well I just installed and played 10 minutes of Bf- Vietnam. Same great performance as the beta 4.5 had for me. Got roughly the same points in both 3dmark 2003 (6600) and Aquamark(46000) as before. Thank's again for the time and effort you take in making these drivers.

Ok, just a minor problem with Radlinker...

I did a full clean uninstall of ATI official 4.5 drivers using their uninstall software... then boot into Safe mode and clearing out the rest using DriverCleaner... then boot into normal mode to install these latest Omega drivers...

As you can see, I did everything perfectly... EXCEPT... I forgot to uninstall my Radclocker.
So I got a few errors here and there while installing Omega's drivers so no big deal I thought.

Anyway, I then went on to uninstall my previous verson of Radclocker and installed the ones that came with Omegas... Well... after 4 attempts... I still got Radclocker??!!

Wasn't I meant to get Radlinker instead? I know cuz I've previously played around with the latest Radlinker that comes with the TempAA settings.

Hmm...

Good work Omega, especially on:
* Fixed the "Hibernation not working" problem in laptops.
