New Radeon Omega Drivers 2.5.44 (Cat 4.5 based)

That issue haunts that game, I can pay multi player 4-ever but the single player freezes bigtime, try different detail levels and experiement with AA and AF settings and pray is all I can say

However, I can NOT change diplay setings at all... that option is greyed out. I would return it if my two sons didn't love it SO much. You know, the Snoop dog thing and all.

Do you have any suggestions?

Chaos thanks for the suggestions. Although I still find it odd that this only happens for me in the past 2 releases. Also, regardign the options I remember there was a bug that would freeze the SP if the detail was set to Extra, but that was fixed in Cat 3.9 or 3.10 I believe.

One thing with the omega drivers 4.4 and 4.5 is when I alt tab out of a game or windows key out, it will set the refresh rate to 60 hz, even tho it's overridden to 85hz in the ati cp. This problem does not happen with both the normal cats or the unian drivers. Anybody know why? Or would I have to use a refresh rate tool with omegas?

I know in my rig I can't play SP mode even today with pre 4.7 beta. The only time I played the game after buying it was testing the 1.3 and 1.4 patches prior to them being released

Hi!
I removed Omega Drivers 4.4 (following carefully the instructions, as I always do!) and installed Omega Drivers 4.5.
All runs fine (DirectX, OpenGL,games, etc etc.....ATITool is cool, isn't it?), but under Control Panel>>System>>Hardware>>Periferals my Sapphire 9600 is now under "unknown" device type (before it was under "Video Cards"). I tried to reinstall Omega Drivers but if I do, after rebooting, WinXP says there's something wrong with my Video Card and enters in VGA mode. It looks like I can't uninstall/reinstall/update my current drivers!
I also tried with DriverCleaner, but I got same results.....
Hope someone can help....In particular, do you know how to make WinXP Device Manager list my 9600 under "Video Cards" type?
I'd also like to thank Omega for his great work!!!

i have installed omegadriver 2.5.51. my problem is that sometimes games hang up with message VPU Recover reseted.
but i can't deactivate vpu in the Catalyst Control Panel. where can i deactivate it ?
how can i solve this problem ?

u can use ati tray tools and deactivate the vpu recover from there
