Pissed X800 shadow bug in Farcry

Don't be too surprised if you see horribly corrupted shadow effects in Farcry's "BOAT" level. I was shocked to see red/orange tree trunks and palm tree's where shadows should have been. Thought my new baby was defective until I read [H]ardOCP's review of Visiontek's X800pro and they reported the bug whew The only way to get rid of it is too reduce the shadow strength to "medium" They were using the Cat's 4.5 and I'm using Omega's 4.5. I sure hope this is fixed *SOON*.

Grab a couple screen shots and we will pass the info to ATi if we can recreate the corruption

Better looking as in they look worse and more corrupted
or better looking as in you can see the corruption better than hardocp's screenshots?
kinda confusing how "better" is used

I think he means "Better" in that its not as bad as what HardOCP has shown, but its still VERY obvious. (I've seen his screenshots)

BTW::
Does this "bug" by any chance have anything to do with this :

ATI's Optimized Texture Filtering Called Into Question

http://www.tomshardware.com/graphic/20040603/index.html

?!!

Will Omega dude address this or ATI or the new FarCry patch that is coming soon??

I was just being silly......The corrupted shadow rendering remains however I imagine, reguardless of which card you buy and *that* is not very funny I hope the "CAT" gang is working on this and it will be promptly fixed.

I dunno.. I kinda like the way they look. Adds a bit of strangeness to the game.
