9800 SE problem with checker boarding
A friend of mine just bought a brand new 3.4 Ghz Intel with an Asus motherboard(dont recall which model). When I install the ATI 9800 SE drivers the desktop and games run perfectly fine. When I install the latest Omega drivers the desktop appears to be blotchy and when we tested a game(Warcraft 3 was all he had installed) it was extremely blotchy with miscolored pixels and small boxes appearing all over the screen. I tried using the new Driver Swapper utility and selected the normal driver, but there was no change. What else might be the cause of this?

Have you done all what it says in this guide?
http://www.hardwareheaven.com/showthre...&threadid=8053 Its very important that you get rid of Catalysts controlpanel before installing Omegas!

I had a similar problem
Though actually heres something to think of...did you do the softmod? Could be that the 4 locked pipes are just garbage in my case, it is the drivers though.
