Can't install Cat 4.8

Hi, need some help.

After uninstalling all my ATI Catalyst 4.7 drivers, when I try to install Catalyst 4.8, I get an error message that no compatible hardware can be found on my system. The installation stops, throwing me back to the desktop. When I re-install Catalyst 4.7, I do not get this error and the installation proceeds as normal. But I want to upgrade!

I have an ATI X800Pro, and I am using WinXP SP2. Is SP2 the problem here? Or it is something with Cat 4.8? Anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to resolve it?

Make sure to restart the system after having uninstalled the drivers. If that doesn't help then you could try using the Driver Cleaner utility found on this site.
