Default Post Omega/Plutonium XK1.1.78 on the way!

Just thought i'd let you guys know i haven't forgot, and am working on the new set.

(anyone know how to extract the files from the 3030's CPanel CAB files? -- WinRAR doesn't seem to want to )

I may just get them all from the windows folder: also, I dont know if the 3030 has the truform option for 8500's, so i may have a seperate download for users if they want the older CP.

(I hope ATI gets the newer version out soon)

Also: I am starting to get back into C++, and may start work on a minimal tweaker to be included in my drivers. (We'll see)

These drivers will have Win2K and WinXP. (Probably have the WDM's as a seperate download though.)

Expected filesize: 11mb. (without WDM)

Default Post extracting cab files

Use Iscab should be easy enough to find or let me know and I'll send it to you.

how will the omega/plutonium drivers be better/different than the standard plutonium drivers you released a week or so ago?

Well they will be based on the new drivers for one thing, along with more tweaks, etc. (Also with support for Windows 2000)

Nice... Can RCs be expected before final release (just driver inf, like you used to do before)?

Am I confused? I have an 8500 and the Plutonium 8.1's, and I see no TruForm options in the CP.

It is because it uses older Cpanel, so it can be integrated (like in 6143).

Really doubt, I think that it is going to take long as 1.1.59 and ATI will probably have new drivers before these get released...

Maybe it would be better to first release PlutoniumXP only and Omega/Plutonium at later time, because it only took 3 days to make last PlutoniumXP.

Cyborg,
Yessirree, looking forward to trying out your drivers on the XP side on the Radeon Mobility unit I have. Still running the 71's from way back (well, OK, months) for their stability and speed. These new ones coming will be first Catalyst series I try...

Man Cyborg, I just wanna say "thanks" again! That last set of Plutonium drivers you released for XP are really, really sweet! Made NWN and Mafia smoother and prettier. Now today I just installed RTCW for the first time (yeah yeah..) and WOW! My r8500 is set to 16x aniso and 2xAA and this thing is flying!! And talk about beeee-utiful! Not sure even the next set you turn out will beat these babies

Probably it will because it is Omega/Plutonium, so it means it has some more tweaks than PlutoniumXP...
Waiting for it...

but I thought I read somewhere that the omega/plutonium releases come with everything set to their specs and that if I change the AA or aniso I'll be messing up their optimum design. Is that true? Or will I have liberty to change aniso and AA according to games without messing their optimum setup up? or should I/we just leave it at default settings after installing?

You can do anything from ATI control panel, but don't change anything with a tweaker. Only change if you are sure that you know what are you doing.

CYBORG !

First thanks for your great work, but I want to ask why you not make a DRIVER + CP only for WINDOWS 2000 ?
I think it will be more easy to make and test like the Plutonium XP
