Stay on topic please. This is the "Radeon Display Drivers" section, not the "Grade 9 English Discussion" section.

Both 'spelled' and 'spelt' are right. 'Spelt' is mainly British English.

Don't know why ...
no AV or FW
system is super optimized for performance
requsted services is running
no hd/systemfiles fragments
cpu and ram timing stable as ice
pagefile optimized as hell
no errors notifcations

It would be interesting to see those results too, and see what the difference is in memory usage when you are actually pushing your system, not sticking with games that don't even come close to using up up your physical ram.
this is a "free standing game rig" don't foget I game plenty more then you or i'd guess almost anyone else does...

the XP registry is were you find about a good 90% of the performace gains there are to be had... (even serivces are/can be controled from there)

services do so little i leave then as they are why? there is't a big enough differance to warrent the other problems that commanly result....

.net is the future MS has for is an here to stay you can accrpt change or live in the past... It's up to you but eventally you have .net or you will not have windows and possably linux or mac bucouse .net can be ported!

servaces only "frees some memory" wtf good it unused memory thats not being used? a waste.. most that stuff that set in ram to long ends up paged out to swap anyways .. nothing i'll ever worry about with XP @ least

(not to mention most people by far leave thier services alone)

Well my experience of the new CCC is that when it loads it freezes everything up for a sec or 2 why?

and why is there two CLI (is it spelled right?) and when i have it opened there is 2 preview and sometimes it just freeze adn then preview and cli starts to use cpu power another thing i can´t figure out so i went to the old CP the new one causes tooo much problems for me

well for reference i saw no less performance in DOOM3 or far cry with the new CCC

mabe u need to uninstall your old versions first. im guessing cause their should be TWO CLI.exe files i think, or last i looked i had them and once i had only one. hrm.. weird.

most people found a great advantage in doom3 but only after they formatted fresh system, try that and see, i dunno why this has to be done to see the differnce. mabe we need a new version of driver cleaner, im guessing so with this new control panel etc.

Great Job on doing exactly what I (and some others) need to know. From your results I can see that CCC is just the next step in Technology and that maybe ppl who are having problems with it, need to upgrade their computers.

Top Effort to Neon.

Setting your services to defaults will help a lot.

blackviper.com will tell you what is default... http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm
