just uninstall the control pannel and everything else, and install over those drivers. You can in fact just install over them. If you're really concerned, you can just run driver cleaner.

that is what i have been told before, but the last time i did that I had to reformat entirely. All i got when booting were bsods, so i am fairly hesitant to try that again.

wow..

Okay well you tried using driver cleaner? or installing the new drivers over the old. Because installing new drivers over the old ones is okay...heck even Omegadrivers says when you install it tha tyou can just install over the old drivers, that its okay.

if you're getting BSODs...hmm i dunno what to tell you.

You can try reinstalling the driver over itself again and THEN uninstalling. If it still fails then there might be some sort of registry corruption and you might have to use Driver Cleaner to manually uninstall the drivers.
