Another Resolution Problem with Mobility Modder + Catalyst 4.9

I seem to be having a problem that I've seen written about quite a few times on the forum.

I have an Averatec 6128 laptop with the Mobile Radeon 9600. I installed the Mobility Modder and used the Catalyst 4.9 drivers.

When I boot up, it's set to 1024x768 and will not allow me to change to 1280x1024 in the Catalyst Control Panel. I can change it in the Windows settings, but when I do, the screen enlarges and doesn't adapt to the size of my 15" Widescreen display.

I keep hearing about disabling DDC, but I can't seem to find this setting. I've looked everywhere, even where people say to look in some of their posts, but I have no option to disable this.

Does anyone know the registry hack to disable DDC?

Or does anyone have any updated info on what I should do? Thanks for any help.
