CoD:UO Omegadriver (2.5.76) Issue

I searched the forum and couldn't find what I was looking for, so if this has been addressed, please point me in the right direction and disregard my post.

I have just installed the 2.5.76 omegadrivers to give them a spin with my 9600XT. Previously I had the Cat 4.8 drivers installed. With these drivers I notice that in Call of Duty: United Offensive that when I go in to shell shock from an explosion or get killed the textures seem to smear and "rainbow." With the previous drivers, the effect was more of a blurred-vision. It isn't a big problem, but it bugs me. I haven't looked at other games to see if similar things may happen.

Any help would be appreciated.

Bob

I hate to be such a n00b, but how do you add a screenshot?
Is there a FAQ for doing such things.
Thanks,
bob

Donator
I'm doing CoDuo with the Omega's, no blurring or rainbow effects
You sure you set the texture to 32 bit in the graphics options?

I didn't change any graphic settings going from Cat 4.8 to Omega. But I will double check the settings.
The rainbow only comes up when I get killed. Other than that, the game looks great. No other trouble.
After I double check the settings, if it is still a problem I will post a screenie.

Thanks for the input...

Let's Try This...

Here is a normal shot using the Drivers:

Here is the blurred shot (this only happens during death or during "shell shock"):

Using the Cat 4.8 drivers, the blurred effect is more of a smokescreen (almost a crossfade) effect that isn't as distracting.

The textures are set to "high" - 32 bit.

he shellshock effect that is enabled in the game or server. the rainbow, blur, slow, vision, loud ringing ..only happens when you get blown up or near explosion..your all good but the spiral rainbowish colors usually from 16 bit texture setting. and during shellshock sequence the script calls for it to be distorted

set scr_shellshock "0" //turn off

I appreciate the info. I have turned off the "shellshock" and obviously I don't see this issue. However, running Cat 4.8 drivers I didn't have this issue with the "shellshock" on. No game settings have been changed.

You mention the 16 bit texture setting, as was mentioned higher in the thread. Is this a setting in the game or through the Advanced 3D options with the driver? The game textures are set on "high" just as they were with the Cat 4.8 drivers. I haven't seen anything in the Adv. 3D options, but I may be missing something.

Yea! Problem Solved!

I double and triple checked all of the game settings - they were fine. Then I started messing with the Advanced 3D settings. In the OpenGL (CoD runs of the Quake 3 engine) the texture quality was set to normal. Bumping this to "High Quality" fixed the issue.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions.
